I had to make the background with my left hand due to an accident I had two days ago ^^''
My wrist really hurts and I can't move my right hand properly ._.
Hope it'll get better quickly (replying to my messages now will be a lot of fun )

For a metalic look I start with some pencil shading and afterwards try to get a lot of contrast by shading many places with a black ballpoint pen (cross hatching technique). Then I add many highlights with a white gel or POSCA pen to make the metal look shiny and thus more realistic (:
