I see these kinds of errors with abs a lot, particularly from newer artists. Don't feel bad if you're doing abs wrong! It's very common. We've all been there. (If you've seen my art, you know I'm included in this.

Always remember to keep up your studying! Also, look into figure drawing in your area, if you're allowed to go. I know some artists here are young and their parents don't want them seeing naked bodies (even for artistic purposes), but if you can, real life models are such a worthwhile investment in your studies. If you can't, there's plenty of clothed resources you can use, but a photo generally isn't as good as what you see with your own eyes. Our eyes aren't cameras after all! It's still a viable reference, but using real life references when you can is always a useful thing.
