Description I hadn't met my niece for about 3 months.. and when I finally made it back home last week (a week vacation in the end of Ramadhan, YAY!), both she and I were very excited to see each other again. There are so many new things she can do now. She can talk a bit, though pronunciation is no perfect, is VERY VERY active. She jumps up and down all the time and she looooved it when I taught her The Wheels on the Bus song.
Now back in the town where I live in, I've already missed her heaps.

This picture was taken when she walked (jumpingly) around our terrace. I know this is a personal post, so I'll move it to scrap later. Just in case some other people want to check this.

Cheers,

Carla.

you played with the shadow very well. the story behind implies the true love of an aunt..huwhuhw...

thank you. i want to believe it's skill. it's not a really new style, though... just wanted to submit something different. but i've done these kind of shots for a while.

This is really an interesting picture. Not just for the story you've told with it, but also how you executed this.
I really like the composition, to see her jumping above this shadow line. The lightning is very interesting in general, especially your niece, how she's partially in light and in the dark.

It's a personal post, and a lovely one. I'm glad to have seen it.

I've left my picture of my niece and nephew on my knees as a deviation - and I think this pic and "Artist's Comments" is worthy as a deviation, too. It's delightful.

I was really, really pleased to see you call her VERY VERY active, rather than "hyperactive".

Hyperactivity is almost always, I believe, a defect in the surrounding adults, not in the child. VERY VERY active is GOOD.

indeed. i just thought i needed something more catchy in the title. i did have a hyperactive student once, and she's definitely not like him. she doesn't bang her head on the wall and she doesn't jump every 2 minutes or hurts herself in anyway. just normal, but very very active.

Sorry - my bad. I'd missed the fact that you'd used Hyperactive as the title!

Your hyperactive student does indeed sound as though there was something really wrong with him, poor kid.

i won't say he's a poor kid. he's extremely good at the other aspects. music, mathematics, languages....

I'm glad to hear that! Poor him that he bangs his head, though.
