I rendered in vray so i dont know much on mental ray soz
But i hear they are similar in result when it comes to rendering.
I think i followed this tutorial a couple yrs ago i bookmarked it a long time ago.
Its uses vray but if u can create someting similar in mental ray with it or get vray sometime it can help i hope!

Its in vray but like i said maybe you can do something similar with mental ray
Another program i use is keyshot its another fantasic renderer but only really good with hard surface objects.

That is single-handedly one of THE best 3D guitar models I've ever seen. My comment pales in comparison lol

I make guitars (in CAD and soon i.r.l) so I look around a lot for stuff like that haha

Yea i seen some of ur stuff seems like ur really interesting in making guitars
I also own several guitars including this one so its one of the reasons i modelled it.

I actually just got a request yesterday from a Left-handed player that I know for a Razorback replica.

He doesn't want the Floyd Rose though.

So I guess that will be my other project for today lol
