When an opponent's monster declares an attack: Target 1 Spell in your opponent's GY; Set it to your field. You can banish this card from your GY and send 1 "Monster Reborn" from your hand or Set on your field to the GY; Special Summon 1 "Obelisk the Tormentor" from your GY in Defense Position, and if you activated this effect during your opponent's turn, for the rest of this turn while you control the Special Summoned monster, all monsters your opponent controls must attack that monster, if able.

This card's OCG /TCG effect is a reference to Yami Yugi and Seto Kaiba's Battle City Duel in the original Yu-Gi-Oh! manga and anime when Kaiba uses this card to activate Yami Yugi's "Monster Reborn " from his Graveyard to Special Summon "Obelisk the Tormentor " from Kaiba's Graveyard .
Because of this, this card can be considered an "Obelisk" support counterpart to "Dark Spell Regeneration ", which can Special Summon "The Winged Dragon of Ra ".
Also, this card's additional effect of switching attack targets to "Obelisk" during the opponent's turn is a reference to the Egyptian Gods ' shared Special Summon effects in the anime, which can switch the attack target of an opponent's attacking monster to the Special Summoned Egyptian Gods.
