History: Ancalis was born not long after the Oblivion Crisis in the beginning of the 4th Era. Born in Lillandril with both Mother and Father Altmer, he was taught the Arcane Arts from an extremely young age. He developed mild Xenophobia after being brought up in a conservative home and the family relocated to Alinor in the Summerset Isles only a few years after Ancalis was born. Developing a strong nationalist opinion and what can only be described as a Superiority Complex, both Ancalis and his father pledged themselves to the Third Aldmeri Dominion, more closely, the Thalmor. Ancalis continued to practice in both Alteration and Destruction magic as he grew up in the Dominion, also taking an interest in Enchanting. He never used anything other than Elven weaponry, thinking it disrespectful otherwise. When the Great War with the Empire broke out, Ancalis’s father had already been moved to Elsweyr under the command of Lord Naarifin and marched over the border into Cyrodiil, first stroking at the city of Leyawiin. It wasn’t long after this that southern Cyrodiil had fallen into the hands of the Dominion. Ancalis was stationed on the coast of Hammerfell at the time, unknowing that the forces now taking the capital were going to be annihilated in the Battle of the Red Ring. All Mer forces within Cyrodiil were destroyed, amongst those were several of Ancalis’s friends and also his father. Following the White-Gold Concordat, Ancalis returned to Alinor, his mother passing shortly after from Brain Fever. Ancalis remained in Summerset isles for a short time, getting married and having a child. He planned to teach her as his own father had taught him in the Arcane arts as soon as she was able, but soon found that Yellow Fever was slowly taking his livelihood. Due to this, he took the earliest possibility to be transferred to Skyrim to avoid distressing his family with his diminishing life. Ancalis allied the Thalmor in Skyrim with the College of winterhold, replacing Ancano for a short time before it was decided that he use the Dark Brotherhood to kill the Emperor. Ancalis succeeded in murdering Vittoria Vici. It was soon found that the Thalmor were using the Dark Brotherhood for their own gains, and Ancalis withdrew. After this he was charged with the role of Justiciar, enforcing the law against the worship of Talos around Skyrim.
