Description
An ambiguous depiction that is free for interpretation.I tried to set the mood of the colours that fits the metaphor and its many ways how it can be seen by the viewer.
I rarely use strong colour fades like this when I work with traditional media but this image seemed to break my fear to dip my brushes into strong, unmixed paint.
It was once again a honour to work together with who has absolutely amazing ideas and visions. Whenever I come up with one idea, he often comes up with thirty.

I love it!! I drew a lion once for a Religion assignment, and didn’t really do anything else so it has become a bit of a joke for my friends and me. So I see how beautiful this picture is and it makes me want to draw another more magnificent one, I really love it!

Wow, it's awesome O.o The colours make it much more... intensive and dramatic. The details are very well done, as the colouring of the mane.
Free for interpretation? Okay, but it's your fault 
He's the leader of a tribe (he looks like an anthro for me). Enemies attack them, and he goes into the fight. But then he is struck down by another lion. He loses balance, falls down on the ground, death tries to get him (the cold, dark grey-blue at the bottom). The lion tries to get up, but he can't. Above and around him is fire - sun sets and the fire of war. He can hear the screams of other lions, but he is unable to help them.
This is what gets into my mind when I see this picture.

Not usually interested in the 'anthro' genre, but there is something compelling about this piece. Something about the rhythm in the ringlets in the hair.
