Two Regalis Gryphons are going to have a fun time after the dinner.The meal is very tender and was told before not to go outside the fields during the mating seasons of the Regalis Gryphons.
Pencils on Bristoldboard. It was hard to decide which pose the female should have.

I assume the female is just about to land? If so, she looks as though she'll crash into the male and knock him over. Well done for trying such an interesting and dynamic pose, but it looks as though you were limited by the size of the canvas again and couldn't put them as far apart as they ought to be. There's also the fact that the shading is similar for both gryphons, so they appear to be in the same plane. If you made the female's wing darker it would look more as though it was behind the male's and so it would be easier to read that she's further away from him.
I really like that rock in the foreground. I think the mountains in the background look too narrow and pointy in contrast - they ought to have the same squat, flowing geology.
The clouds, on the other hand, look very rocky themselves. It looks more as though there's a stony ceiling above them than a sky.
The featherness is awesome. I especially like the female's face - it looks really soft. I bet she'd eat my hand if I tried to pat her, though.

You have a talent for telling someone the point and interpreting.
Oh yeah, I still have trouble with drawing clouds especially when the pencil has one sharp and one soft edge and both on one side. Oh how much I hate that.
I noticed for myself that I have to let myself go in terms of light and shadows. Most of my drawings seem kind of bland considering that I've become a bit stiff.
Basically, the gryphon female is about to come to the foreground and is already landing. She touches the rock, which is quite close to the boy and comes even closer with her head. She is actually more in the foreground than the male.
If the female's wings would come into the foreground, touching the male's wings, it would be even better and clearer.
But it was too late when I finished the picture.
But you know, one learns with every piece and with such a good critique even better!

wow, so viele Greifenbilder. Es werden noch mehr von mir kommen. Ich bin gerade in meiner Greifenphase und bald kommt die Drachenphase und dann wieder ne andere Phase. lol
Oh ja, der Kerl hatte ein kurzes Leben aberdafuer konnten die Greifen neues schaffen. hehehheh
