I don't really know what to refer you to. I obtained that knowledge from a class... and now that I think back, ninja were more like arsonists and assassins. They killed samurai when they least expected it, rather than combat...Β

Kind of a new one on me !
Well, i also heard that some of samurai, or ronin (master-less samurai) would become ninja for hire. Others, enjoyed there status in the late tokagawa era. By the end of that era, you had sort of a forced modernization of the whole system, specifically with the U.S. navy showing up on their shores. Id say modernization is what killed the samurai more than anything. A great movie that illustrates this simplistically is the last samurai. There is a bad ass ninjas vs samurai scene...and when the samurai wins you just want to just go HEYAAAAA !!! Its awesome !

Oh ya....thats a classic. Im an 80s kid so i remember that very well. I remember literally sh*ting a brick when i saw Raiden in the first MortalKombat; in the arcades during the early 90s. I was like holy crap...big trouble in little china the game. I love you Edboon.
