I remember that when I was very young, I used to watch this series when it was shown on TV, but I never got to finish watching it, so I decided to look for it in its entirety on YouTube or on the internet and when I found it, I remembered some episodes, but it always caught my attention to the plot and the characters that were there. This series is called: “Road Rovers”, when it was broadcast on Cartoon Network; a series created by Warner Bros. Animation from 1998 to 2000.
The series takes place in Socorro, New Mexico and is about a group of anthropomorphic canine superheroes, who were chosen by a man they call "The Master” (Doctor Shepherd), who created a machine with experimental technology capable of turning a normal dog into an anthropomorphic canine with heroic abilities to stop the evil General Pavo (who is actually an anthropomorphic cat) who wants to conquer the world and so, Doctor Shepherd chooses six different dogs to become superheroes and save the world using their special abilities. The team is made up of: Hunter (a goldador retriever, the leader of the team, who comes from the United States, President Clinton's pet and who has super speed as an ability. He is optimistic, funny, sensible, devoted and friendly and is in love with Colleen), Colleen (a rough collie, who comes from the United Kingdom, pet of Prime Minister John Mayor, the only female on the team and who has hand-to-hand combat skills, being an expert in martial arts and also knows how to treat injuries. She is athletic, strong, self-confident, serious and sarcastic, who is also in love with Hunter and always beats up Blitz when he calls her by other names or when he acts like an idiot and even pretends that she doesn't know him, to make him angry), Blitz (a Doberman, who comes from Germany, Chancellor Helmut Kohl's pet and who has super bite and sharp claws as an ability. He is vain, fearful, selfish, proud and immature, who is always flirtatious with Colleen even though she is not interested in him and always suffers some kind of damage or misfortune in the series), Exile (a Siberian husky, who comes from Russia, president Boris Yeltsin's pet and who has the ability to shoot beams from his eyes, either hot or cold rays and night vision. He is friendly, serious and level-headed and is occasionally disturbed by Blitz's childish attitude), Shag (an English shepherd, who comes from Switzerland, pet of the President of the Swiss Confederation, Arnold Koller and who has super strength and the ability to store various things in his fur. He, unlike the others, cannot speak but is quite friendly and brave) and Muzzle (a rotweiler, who is the pet of Doctor Shepherd who is aggressive and bites a lot and due to this aggression, he often restrained in a cart while wearing a straitjacket and mask and from time to time, he accompanies the Road Rovers on their adventures)
Thus, the superhero dogs have the mission of stopping the evil General Pavo and at the end of the episode, the "master" usually tells them: "Good job, Rovers. You are all good dogs." The truth is that this series entertained me a lot and I found it very funny and without a doubt, my favorite character is Colleen, since I liked that she was the one who faced melee with the enemies the most and was very skilled and strong and knew how to deal with Blitz every time he bothered her. It is a pity that this series only had one season and thirteen episodes, because the truth is that it deserved to have at least another two seasons to lengthen the plot and to get to know the characters better and it brings back very good memories of my childhood and I will always wish that this series has a reboot or at least a continuation to enjoy it for much longer, but I definitely recommend that you see it.
