Personality

Like his father before him Rangi is a sociopath. He doesn’t feel emotions and liked to kill small prey for fun from a young age.
Charming: Rangi struggles to fully understand other’s emotions he has inherited his father’s smooth charm, he uses his looks and charm to trick manipulate others into what he wants them to do.
Intelligent: Rangi has a high IQ and has an amazing ability to problem solve this allows him to better manipulate.
Strong: even as a cub Rangi was strong, able to hold down his siblings and as he grew he is strong enough to hunt for himself.
Lawful: Rangi believes in civic order and being in control but only so he can exploit the current system, he will enforce the rules on others but only so he is seen in a good light.
Manipulative and Cunning: Rangi doesn’t recognize the rights of others and sees his self-serving behaviours as permissible. He appears to be charming, yet is covertly hostile and domineering, seeing others as instrument to be used. He enjoys dominating and humiliating others especially his brothers.

History:

Rangi and his brother Reoh were the light in their mother’s life, Ama was overjoyed when she met the love of her life Ajax, she even life her pride (Jioni Chantaje) to travel the lands with him. Things were amazing and for the first months everything was perfect, then as soon as they were away from the pride everything changed, Ajax became controlling and abusive. The two were intimate but it was forced, Ama thought when she became pregnant he would stop being so cruel and in a way he did, instead of targeting her stomach he just found other ways to torment her. Forcing himself on her and making her hunt for him but not allowing her to eat much.

When the cubs were born Ajax showed no interest in being a father, as soon as she was able he sent her out to hunt for him, thankfully this time as long as she did what he asked he let her share the meal, and he said that was only because he wanted his sons to get enough milk from her to grow big and strong, Ajax didn’t care for her, he just wanted someone to use and give him sons to continue his bloodline. Ama was heartbroken but cared for her sons and didn’t want them hurt or to have to raise them by herself.

As the cubs grew Ama noticed Rangi had inherted more than just his father’s green eyes. When the cubs would play fight, Rangi would always take it too far. Ajax didn't seem to care and would even reward the cub for his brutality, insisting that's what it took to be strong. Ama on the other hand would get upset and try to reason with Ajax, but would be shot down immediately.  Rangi liked the attention and praise from his father but he really enjoyed beating and tormenting his brother. This is how every day went, whenever he could he would target his brother and do everything to prove to his mentor, his father that he was better in every way. It was during one brutal training session that he saw her, a small female cub, she fascinated him the moment he saw her, the blue eyes, her scruffy pelt. He couldn’t describe it but even he let out a silent sigh of relief when his mother convinced Ajax to let the female, Molek stay and she would prove an asset when the time came.

His fascination with the female meant he felt the need to follow and torment her, it was a game to the small cub and the female seemed to enjoy it too, she laughed until he caught her and then her laughed until her giggles turned into cries of joy. The more the cried the more enjoyment he got, she tried to threaten him with telling his mother and twin of his behaviour but he knew his mother would never believe an orphan over her own son. As his fascination with Molek began to develop into obsession he noticed that he had competition from Reoh. His twin spent his free time with Molek and even dared to intercept when Rangi was “playing” with her. It frustrated him so much that his attacks during Ajax’s training sessions became so ferocious he drew more blood and he didn’t want to stop even when his father commanded him to.

As all three cubs grew into lanky adolescences Rangi continued to verbally and physically abuse her, they older they got the worse it became. The male had even become so brash he began to make remarks more often not caring who was listening, and even though she was stronger and knew how to fight back he was more ferocious with his attacks. Her blood just made him want her more, she fought but he knew that was just a game they played. As he matured he began to crave more then just her blood, she smell so sweet and he suddenly had these urges to make her his.

The male knew he had to bide his time, after all, his weak brother would probably protect her if he found them. So Rangi waited until the rest of the family was busy before following her, creeping through the tall grass he waiting until she had found her prey before leaping. She fought and cried as he held her down, licking the blood from the scratches the taste of her blood fueling him.

Then just as he had her where he wanted her, they were interrupted by a roar before Rangi’s weak brother attacked his brother. They had fought before but this was different, Rangi knew his brother wanted the female for himself and he would kill him to keep her. Finally the two stopped when they were too exhausted to continue, Rangi was impressed, his brother may not be so weak after all, although Reoh still denined it, Rangi knew the truth.

That was the last time he saw his twin, when Rangi returned to tell his father what had happened and the unfortunate news that his mate had run from him when she saw his brother, Reoh and Ama were gone.



Rangi wandered the land with his father, searching not only for his run away mother and brother but for the fascinating scruffy lioness he has become obsessed with.
