Description
Steve headed home after sunrise instead of camping out. I was quite tempted to go back with him, but I stayed in the hope of some morning shots and I was glad I did.Simplicity is something I tend to look for in my images. I have this same shot with two foreground stacks of rock lit by early sun that looks nice, but somehow removing them just improved the image for me. Here is the shot I refer to:

It was a very good picture with the rocks, itΒ΄s art without them.

I like the one with the rocks too, but I must agree with you, with the rocks one couldn't fully enjoy the impressive and simple scenery behind. Superb light!

yeah when we have light frost like this one the moor it makes the light look even softer and the shadows even colder, which makes for great conditions to take images in

Very simple composition but still has a mighty impact on this shot! Great work

I definitely prefer this composition to the one with the rocks.

This is the kind of shot I find myself looking for a lot in this kind of light, (I've just been processing shots from my trip today and have a couple of this kind of shot) and much prefer this to the shot with the foreground stacks.
Really nicely done

The simplicity is nice but whilst I would enjoy being there, for me the shot is fairly boring. I think the other shot is awesome though.

And I thought it ws just me - that maybe I was missing something that redeemed this one. This panorama makes an excellent background to the rocks in the other image, but no more, I'm afraid. Sorry. Maybe you had to be there.

ah well, I wouldnt be staying true to my own vision if I changed my mind on the basis of someone elses recomendation when its really just personal taste. Still I can see your point. I cant really justify it, I just like it more without the rocks, maybe I am crazy

Exactly, I wasn't saying you should like what I like, just sharing my opinion. Can you upload the other one as well?

The simplicity is nice - I like the sense of early-morning silence, when everything seems to be frozen in time and space - but I do really love the one with the stacks too
