Description
While waiting for dawn, I admired this little Burch-tree on this tiny island.And while the sun was rising above the mountains, it sparkled the frozen landscape with vivid autumn colors...just for a few seconds until the moment was gone.

I haven't seen this picture in years but a friend of mine has been drawing a lot of tree pictures lately and it reminded me of 'lonely tree' it looks different to how i remember it looking but its still my favorite of your photo's

The thumbnail made me think this was was on fire...
which for a moment reminded me of a song (unfortunately not in English) called "The Fire of Caravan" which is about a fire left behind, burning by itself and not knowing where to go in the desert...also hinting at loneliness...

sometimes the sun puts things on fire, especially in the desert. and sometimes the sun put things on fire metaphorically. after a freezing cold night, the sun really makes everything sparkle, reflecting the humidity and the frost..

some people find the word "lonely" a little negative. as you, i don't it's a negative term. i could have used the term "alone", but i like better the sound of "lonely".
trees, animals and people that grow and evolve alone often have uniqueness and a touch of nobleness in my opinion. not that i don't value terms like groups, teams, togetherness and so on. i just admire that creature that sparkles alone, without any much support from the surroundings...i'm sure you know what i'm talking about....

it was just a swift moment...but luckily photography gives us the opportunity to freeze these unique moments.
maybe there's a "hulder" under the tree that i haven't noticed. the old norwegians believed that there were these alluring witches, making men get lost in the mountains. well, i don't need hulders to get lost in the mountains...mostly i get lost by it's beauty alone...
