i totally agree i hate the commercials that show the animals that get beaten or miss treated! i want to adopt all the animals in the world so i know they are safe! It's like if you don't like them don't get them! DUH!

I agree with this also, seeing all the poor animals being abused makes you wanna cry.

Yeah I've seen the commercials so many times before. I try to avoid them because they're just so sad. Plus they make me guilty for not having any cash to spare for them.

I know, epecially when they look at you with those sad, needy eyes. *Sniff*
My grandparents volenteer at the shelter. They walk them around and try to get them adopted. They had this one cat with one blue eye and one green eye, it was pretty.
I watched this show called Animal cops and there was this one episode where they had a full grown dog was stuffed in a milk crate! The poor guy could barly walk when they took him out and you could see all his ribs.
And on this other episode there was a dog that had a metal chain embeded into his fur! How can people do this stuff to animals?

I remember that show. I was ADDICTED when I was a kid [lol]. I still remember a lot of the stuff on the show. Very cruel things people will do to the innocent.
I think a good number of these things happen because many people don't think of animals as living things with personalities, souls, and all the things people have. So animals are oftenly treated more like objects than living beings.
Just thinking like that is completely alien to me, and I'm glad it is. But it'd be nice for things that happen to so much animals to be more rare.

i agree as well, animals have been treated like crap for a long time. they have feelings as well, they're not card board boxes that you can just leave out in the rain. so long story short, i agree with this statement ^^

Yeah, I agree with this statement. They have rights to be treated well, to have decent living conditions, but I don't agree with people who want to give them voting rights and rights to marry - these are things animals couldn't care less about.
