and I experimented with motion blurs. you could add a motion blur to him like this: [link]
I did a motion blur of -154.63 degrees with a distance of 10 pixels, but I don't use photoshop so I don't know if it would be different for you...

Oooh, sparks, I like that. I think I have an idea. I can make him look at though he's going really fast if that helps. I could make multiple silhouettes behind him as well, you know, like so fast it looks as though there's more than one of him. Or I could disort it a bit so it looks really powerful. Really, the choices are endless. I'm gunna have fun with this
