Description The Once Over

Name: Sister Justina Moriah (Nick name - Moira; Christian name a
secret)
Age:19
Gender: Female
Build: At first glance, she seems little and a bit chubby, but under that habit, she's fit and curvy.  She has a little extra meat on her, but she's in excellent shape.
Hair: Not that you'll ever see it under that wimple, but it's long, wavy, and that warm, faceted brown you just want to reach out and touch.
Facial Details: Heart shaped and soft with plump lips and large, light brown eyes.  It's the type of face more kind than beautiful and could definitely mature to a matron's harsh glower, given time.
Clothing Style: Nun's habit. She actually does wear the same thing every day.  If she needs other clothes, they would follow the same rule: covered, but unrestrictive.
Points of Interest: There's nothing particularly striking about her physically, though her magic has a strange unrestrained, or unrefined quality to it unless she's using an old, complex spell requiring exact ritual.

Who Are You?
In a nutshell: Moira is a happy, intelligent person of faith.
Demeanor: She moves minimally, smiles genuinely, and speaks well, if a bit softly.  Her carriage is that of someone with extensive physical training, for anyone that would know, though her humility keeps her from swaggering.
What you love: God, Mother Superior, the Sisters, humanity, books, knowledge
What you hate: Satan, Sin, legumes
What you fear: Nothing.  “The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me? (Psalm 118, Verse 6)”
People see you as: A naïve, sheltered fool.
You see yourself as: An instrument of HIS divine will.
Why people love you:  She doesn't judge and honestly cares for everyone she meets.  She believes in the good of all souls and refuses to expect the worst from anyone.
Why people hate you: She is stubborn in her belief in even the worst of humanity and, though she never preaches, she doesn't shy away from quoting scripture in a helpful, constructive manner that most don't appreciate.

Where Did You Come From?
Residence: The Convent of Saints Cyprian and Justina in the East Side.
Day Job: Generally, she works around the convent, though at the moment her calling has taken her into the community at large.
Background: The bastard of some high up Church official, she was born into the custody of the Church and ghosted away into its vast network of Orphanages and Schools.  The rosary she possesses is her only link to her biological family and
though she never makes a big fuss over that, she also never lets it out of her sight.  If you're looking, she has no papers.  She was raised mostly in a small Community in Italy until it was discovered she could see auras.  She was transferred to the tutelage of the Cyprians.  At sixteen, she took her first vows as a Justina.
Friends and Family: Though she certainly went through the phases of struggles associated with being more or less an Orphan, Moira has settled on taking the Cyprians as her family and they are more than willing to embrace her wholeheartedly.  Sr. Sorrows is like a sister to her, while Srs. Fi and Seb are like aunts and Sr. Lucy like a bubbly older cousin.  The Reverend Mother has a particularly maternal leaning concerning Moira.

What Can You Do?
Skills: A life spent largely in monastic study cloistered with a diverse group of accomplished practitioners generally makes your knowledge base pretty wide.  Physically, she had devoted several hours a day to mastering her body and its energies.  Academically, she is fluent in English, Italian, French, Greek(Modern and Ancient), Latin, Aramaic, Sanskrit, Arabic, Sumerian, and Hebrew.  She has read and memorized several ancient tomes and read the bible in its original language.  She's also a fair hand at gardening.
Weaknesses: Though Sister Moriah may have knowledge, practice, and control, she's severely lacking in real world experience, of nearly any kind.  She also has absolute faith in people, though she doesn't see that as a weakness.
Equipment: Her toiletry bag, two full Habits, silver cross, wooden rosary, silver ring, three hundred dollars, the sword of St. Joan of Arc
Supernatural: She can see auras.  Anything else she needs to do requires work and ritual.  Her magic is extremely faith based.  She honestly believes she is in love with GOD and the fact that she can do magic is the proof that HE loves her back.  The ritual can be as little as making the sign of the cross for simple things, but if her faith is not one hundred percent, it won't work.  Also, the sign of the Cross generally only works against strictly 'demonic' forces or as a ward against magic of harmful intent.  Generally, her real power lays in knowledge not outright ability.  If you catch her flatfooted and you're not outright 'demonic', then she'll be in real trouble.
Combat: She will never attack and generally won't really believe she's in a fight until you hit her.  Once she actually realizes what's going on, she'll use tai chi, capoeira, and a blend of other techniques to dodge, weave, and turn her opponent's own aggression and strength against themselves.  Her sword handling is technically perfect, like everything else.  She has no real world experience, so dirty tricks are beyond her completely.

Why Are You Here?
As a protective Order, the Sisters are taking the attempted nabbing of one of their own while she was scrying for leads on some missing friends quite personally.  Cyprians cannot leave the Convent without specific Orders from a very select number of individuals.  Justinas have a little more wiggle room, but if Moira ever wants to return to the Convent and the only family she's ever known for good, she needs to resolve this quickly.

The Essentials
1:  As a Nun, she is a person of faith, not an idiot, bigot, fanatic, or crusader.
2:  Her Faith at the moment is very strong and very untested, exactly like most of her other skills, and is intrinsically tied to her magic.
3:  She knows she shouldn't talk about magic, but in the way that you know you shouldn't swear in front of your grandparents.  It's a hard habit to break.  The same goes for things like money: in theory, she understands, but she's never really had to apply the knowledge.

A nice character. Should make an interesting addition to the mix.

What you hate: Satan, Sin, legumes

That made me smile.

One question: is "Lucy" Sister Lucy's first name or surname?

Thanks, I was hoping she'd be a nice contrast and if it got a smile, then my job's done here.

Answer: Sr. Lucy doesn't have a surname. None of the Nuns do: Justina/Cyprian is their Order's Saint name and their second name they choose (generally a Saint in the area of their focus, though not necessarily) when they take vows. Sorry if that's confusing, or I didn't explain it. I know I meant to.
