Description
The two walked in silence for what felt like a long time, even after the crossroads was swallowed by darkness behind them. It was Steppenwolf who finally broke the silence. “Who’s fears?”“What?” Lot asked, coming out of his own thoughts.
“He said we’re ‘facing his fears’.”
Lot nodded, then scanned the barren area they were walking through, “At a guess, I’d have to say Doctor Destiny’s… There was this normal looking guy in here last time…”
“Last time?” The coyote raised an eyebrow as he watched his partner closely, “Where the deuce are we? And why?”
“We’re inside Doctor Destiny‘s cloak.” Lot shrugged, “He keeps a dimension in it.”
“And why?”
Lot glanced back at Steppenwolf, having expected a more extreme reaction to their location. “We’re here because he’s completely out control. We need to find something to get him balanced again…” He stopped as a thought occurred to him, “Balance could be the problem here, actually.”
“What do you mean?”
“Doctor D. is all about balance,” Lot explained, “and the balance has just been blown to hell along with the Heroes’ club house. He’s probably trying to restore the balance any way he can, like… well--”
“By attacking the first people he sees,” Steppe supplied flatly.
A shrill cry tore through their discussion. Startled, they both gazed upward into the inky sky. There, high enough above their heads to be little more than a speck, wheeled a magnificent Eagle. It screamed again as it made another pass.
“An eagle?” Lot asked after a few long minutes.
Steppenwolf shrugged. “They stand for Order.”

Interesting... Nice picture and the change to a text story seems to suit the fact they're in a different dimension insode Destiny's cloak. Who is drawing the scene where they get sucked into the cape? That's a pretty important scene so that this all makes sense.
