Description
Perspectice Practice - ShadowsMedium : Digital Painting
Software : Krita
Couldn't resist to start studying from "How to Render" right now even though I haven't finished to study from the previous book
I've been able to put Krita's new vanishing point assistants to the test. They are just so convenient ! I cannot imagine how awfully unreadable those constructions would have been without them. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, those assistants are tools you can place where your vanishing points must lie. They allow you to visualize the vanishing lines connecting to your current cursor position. It is extremely practical since it allows you to "see" the right position for a corner or something without having to actually draw all the lines, which makes the constructions much lighter. In these exercises, I've also used them to plot the light source and shadow origin. In the particular case of side lighting, I've used the parallel assistant to define the light direction.
Do not use those as references or something because they are probably filled with mistakes because I'm still trying to grasp those concepts

I'm not really sure how these would be helpful to you
As I said, there are probably mistakes in my constructions since I'm still practicing the method, and they're not necessarily easy to understand given the lack of hierarchy in my construction lines. How would you like to use this ?
In any case, it would probably be more efficient to learn how to construct this stuff yourself since it would allow you to cast shadows from any light source over any volume

Yeah, I decided to use yours since mine is worse, just as a beggining practice ^_^

Ca l'est. Vraiment depuis que je suis passée sur Krita je commence enfin à réussir à intégrer facilement de la perspective à mes dessins !

Hmmm. Really interesting. I think I`m gonna try to apply this method the next time I draw something. Thanks for sharing!
