This is my newest drawing of the luscious Jared Padalecki from the TV show Supernatural, and I'm much more satisfied with it than the first one I did a few months back (see in my gallery).The portrait is a composite of 2 different pictures (not very recent but I love them). I think it looks more like Jared than the previous portrait I made and this time I put some serious effort into drawing his hair which I love but is a real bitch to draw. Now it actually has a bit of depth, movement and natural highlights.
I agonized over his right eye because I just couldn't seem to be able to render it properly and get it to match the other one and it was the last thing I had to do for the portrait to be complete. I don't know why but I have this bad habit of drawing one eye, then the rest of the head, face and hair and then I always keep the other eye for last... I really should stop doing that... *sighs*

The funny thing is, that I always start with the right eye, just out of habit.

His eyes are definitely the best part of the portrait. They look so alive and real. You did a fantastic job.
I would say a little more contrast in the jaw/mouth region would make the whole thing seem more three dimensional, since everything above is basically photo-realistic. Great work all in all though.

the hair is absolutely brilliant and the right eye is very good as well. you create such personality when you draw; I do not watch TV nor do I recognize this fellow but you made him come alive and present as quite interesting.
