sorry i'm a little late, i decided last minute to give you guys a very nice treat for halloween!
its a 'little' resource pack containing 5 different rings for your planets, each one roughly 3000x3000px. it also has that saturn ring stock from before, thats been slightly refined and included as a little bonus image too!
so please enjoy using my stock,s as long as you follow the rules below!

by the way, i'd like to know how you made your planet, is there a tutorial you used, or did you develop your own technique? i really like the style.

Thanks for the reply! For the planets I use a very simple technique I saw on a video tutorial combined with my own tweaking. First of all I select part of the texture with the elliptical marquee tool and use the spherize filter (pretty standard). For the shadow I create a new layer with the shape of the planet and then fill it with black then apply a gaussian blur to make it softer, then I use the "Show Transform Controls" option to place the shadow where I want. For the light on the planet I use inner glow, depending on the texture I use screen, linear dodge and color dodge blending modes and then an outer glow to make the edges of the planet look softer. I think it's a very common technique to be honest. Hope this helps!Β
