Hahaha, I know that feeling... and YES re: refs. I don't normally work with them myself, mostly due to being too lazy to find appropriate ones than due to not wanting to, but a ton of assignments in school this year involved mandatory referencing and I was kind of shocked at how easy it made everything.
I was all like WHY DON'T I DO THIS MORE OFTEN!!???!?!
And then school ended and I went back to old ways.
