Sorry, Alter, but maya or not, this does not look good at all. I donΒ΄t know if you were going for atmosphere/vibe, but this says absolutely nothing to me. Is it a horn with crystals? Is it a claw? The texture looks good, but the whole composition is below average.
Have to agree with andidas that your mayagirl looked WAY better.

although i think this is very cool, it doesn't seem very 'fluid' to me. It looks like frozen water, (maybe a little too bumpy) and the pointy claw-like shapes seem out of place.
the lighting is great, i like the effect. I like the gems too, although I do think they are a little too blown out.
don't take this wrong, I like it, just trying to be constructive....

I think it's a nice effect, but it's not enough to use it as wallpaper. The PS smudging is not that brilliant either, nor would i want to have such typing on my desk.
Your "Mayagirl" and the scorpion were ten times better in my eyes - really great! I even liked the "MayaScene" better then this, but it seems to be only me.
