I was wondering something about the login animation, i know that you can edit stuff in the artwork to move around and look animated, but what about stuff that isnt in the oringinal splash art? (such as smoke or the shockwave in the new Sion splashart ) Do Riot add their own layers over or something?

The animators at Riot create those layers. I'm not sure exactly what kind of wizardry they do to achieve those effects, but they're amazing.
