More Princess Tutu fanart. This time, featuring Mytho and Rue~! (This piece is about two weeks old, though. I'm very behind on uploading art, still.)I swear, originally, I was going to do something creepier with them. And... somehow it just ended up being cute and sweet. XD;;; Also, that's not Rue's practice outfit. I took the liberty of giving her something with more of a tutu on it, and instead of poofing out, it's inverted (if you can't tell, which you might not be able to because of fail shading).
Anyway. Yes. I felt like drawing them. And the concept was just Mytho taking her hand. Otherwise, I just thought I'd put them in dancing clothes. Pretty simple.

Mytho and Rue are not my characters. They belong to the wonderful Itoh Ikuko and HAL Films.

Nice! Good to see more of Rue and Mytho. On my second watching of Princess Tutu, since my question of whether Fakir and Ahiru got together got answered, I focused my attention on Rue and Mytho. I needed more of em

The fan nickname for them changes. Most people just use Mytho/Rue or Rue/Mytho, but some call it Ruetho.

I these two don't give me the sweet happy feeling that Fakir and Ahiru do but I still like them together. By the end of the series, when Mytho became The Prince once again, I was like 'He has to get with Rue! Ahiru is with Fakir now, so Mytho go to Rue!' and I did a little happy dance when they did get together, I was really happy about that. Not so happy about Ahiru being stuck as a Duck! Was more then a little peeved about that, but all round I was pretty happy with the ending and with Mytho and Rue being together.
I can see this picture being placed after the series has ended, because they both look happy and content.

Thanks! I really like this pairing, too. I liked the idea of them early on, and it only intensified with the development in the series. I was happy that Mytho chose her and I thought she deserved to be with him--she saved him and selflessly sacrificed herself with her declaration of love for him, after all.
Of course, Fakir/Ahiru is definitely my OTP, but these two definitely hold second, for me.

I liked them together from the beginning too, didn't so much in the middle of the series because Rue was annoying me a tiny bit. Can't even really remember why she was annoying me(Probably because my favourite scenes with Rue are the early ones with Ahiru. Those scenes always make me laugh and I missed them greatly during the middle of the series), but by the end I liked her again, because of the reasons you have already stated in you comment--her sacricing herself to save him and so on, making me pretty happy and content for her to be with Mytho.
But yeah, Fakir/Ahiru are my ultimate favourite, lol. I think my second favourite coupling are actually Autor and Pique. I know their not cannon, but I've read quite a few fanfics with these two together and I just go "Aw!". But Mytho and Rue are defiantly third.
