I don't think I've been hyped for a game in a long time, and I haven't done a proper piece of art since August so... yeah.Here's a depiction of that scene of Zelda crying from the story trailer. With this I didn't want to straight up copy it, so I made some changes, the most notable is that you can see Zelda's face, and the tone is much darker and grittier than the game itself. That master sword was difficult to get right as well, and I still don't think it's perfect.
I like how those tears turned out though.

Breath Of The Wild Zelda's Despair
Link and Zelda were running through the Bottomless Swamp as rain poured down on them from the storm, both of them were drenched and covered in mud, Link held Zelda's hand why he held the Master Sword in his other hand, Zelda was pretty much being dragged by Link as he led her through the swamp, after 10,000 years Calamity Ganon has rose to power again and he corrupted the Divine Beasts and the Guardians. and the Four Champions and the King of Hyrule had all met their demise.
Link and Zelda were both exhausted and panting but they couldn't stop running, just then Zelda tripped and her hand slipped out of Link's and she landed on her knees in the mud.
Link quickly stopped and turned around to look at the Princess of Hyrule and started walking back to help her up.
"How... how did it come to this?"
Link sheathed the Master Sword and got down on one knee.
Zelda started balling her hands up into fists in the wet ground.

Most of the painting is done in SketchbookPro including the shading which I try to do as realistic as I can. Because of SketchbookPro's limitations, I use Affinity Photo mainly to add final touches like contrast and colour grade the overall picture.
But then I also add effects like Depth of Field (blurring the background to add focus on the characters), subtle grain and vignettes etc depending on the mood and aesthetic I'm trying to capture in the image. Hope that helps

There is. The last memory scene shows Zelda asking the Great Deku Tree to deliver a message to Link. She starts with "I..." The Tree interrupts by asking "Shouldn't you tell him that yourself?"
It might mean something different, but to me, this very much sounds like the beginning of 'I love you/him)'.

I've seen a lot of people do their own renditions of this scene, but yours stands out to me. I love that you can see Zelda's face and tears! Really looking forward to this scene in the game!
