Description
The Onna-Bugeisha are female samurai that fought alongside their male counterparts in feudal Japan. The songs of the Onna-Bugeisha claim that assassins sent by the First Ones, the ancient leaders of the Amazons, were responsible for the death of their Empress Jingū in the year 269. No evidence for (or against) this alleged assassination attempt exists, but the Onna-Bugeisha are the sworn enemies of the Amazons none the less. The descendants of the Onna-Bugeisha are few in number and they now call themselves the Ghost Order. They secretly fight crime and protect the cities of Japan from evil, much like the superheroines of the West. Encounters between Amazons and the Ghost Order are rare, but the daughters of the Onna-Bugeisha consider it a great honor to defeat an Amazon in battle.Everything is an experiment at this stage. This image was an attempt to find out if I could still make dynamic action sequences with my new Genesis 8 toys, as well as to introduce another new villainess (or anti-heroine, as the case may be). I threw her together quickly and she was originally going to be a one-off bad guy, but I kind of like the way she turned out. I might have to give her a name and let her face off against the Amazon Arrows again someday.

So they are both heroic factions for the most part, but these orders of beautiful powerful ladies fight each other every time they meet. Maybe there's a bit of pride between them to prove who is the better warrior, and probably also some unresolved sexual tension.

Great action scene. And it brings up something I realized the other day that must really suck for you. With the new look for AA, you're going to have to redo ALL the villains and supporting cast to make them match, aren't you? Like redoing you main character is enough work! Of course, if it will give you the chance/push to create some more new villains like this, that may be a good thing...
