Ok this is like 7 years old now, but I must point out that female Reindeer do in fact grow antlers, and these antlers can be fairly large (albeit smaller than males), so Vixen being a girl and having antlers is perfectly acceptable. Males usually shed them around winter, so arguably the gender roles would be reversed, but this fact is a little stretched sometimes, since many people use this as an excuse to make ALL of Santas Reindeer female, but the shedding date for males is a little chaotic, and some may not shed their antlers until January or February, and some may shed them as early as October, giving enough time regrow them before Christmas. So to say they all muse be female is an exaggeration.

I always pictured Vixen as a she too =3 Reindeer of both genders have antlers, but the males shed them in November/December and the females don't until January x3 I love the style you drew her in, its different from the usual reindeer on DA =3
