The rob was custom painted after I bought it a few years ago. I got it from a yard sale. Notice how white and shiny the base is? It did NOT look like that before XD

The entire rob was EXTREMELY neglected. It was broken, yellowed, covered in scratches, cracks, and even burn marks. I took the entire thing apart, fixed up the mechanicals, sanded out the scratches and burn marks, filled in the cracks, painted it, and made him look brand new. I went with a white, black, and red coloration. The red was chosen to match the stickers and the light on the head.

Now looking at the picture, it almost looks like I missed a spot on the inside of right arm. But it's just dust.

I see. I did take a ROB apart once as it was not turning left. The gear as what I would call as "spring griper" that slips when it hit the max travel. This one was slipping too much.

After some adjustment of the "spring griper" and lube it worked just fine. My other Rob that is apart of my Nintendo Deluxe Set was nice and gray but I left him out and the top of his head by the light got yellow look to it now.

I put him back into the box and he hasn't been out too much since than.

On a side note, I guess I could have posted a picture displaying the R.O.B itself a while back. Might as well do that later. Too bad I don't have any before pictures though....
