its chain mail it wont protect the arm from the impact of the bow string  its 40-60+ pounds of force  hitting your arm  the chain mail will  scratch the crap out of your arm and scar it

If saw cut rings were used and they were closed properly then no damage will be done, however these are anodized aluminum so they will dent, flake off color, and if not welded they will pop off.

It's half rubber.  If the rings are closed properly, then uh...no.  No, it won't scratch your arm.

This isn't a bracer, it's a finger guard, if you would bother to read the title.  This will sit on the hand drawing the bow string back, and won't be in the string's path.  The leather is the only part offering protection here; the chainmail is only going to hold the leather on the fingers.

For my notes on the quality, not bad work.  I might have gone with a 6-in-1 weave rather than a 4-in-1 just for the sections spanning to the fingers to prevent the rings from curling around more.  From a personal preference point, I also would have made the leather guards shorter and only used two.  Again, just personal preference, nothing truly wrong with the piece.

Hmmm 6 in 1 would be great, as for material I would of used titanium. AA is easily damaged but is still good at 16g+ awg
