 History:

History: Born and raised in a tribe that strictly worshipped Norse Gods, Dreygr had one sibling, his brother Loki who was named because when Loki was born he wasn't crying but instead was laughing histarically and the tribe thought he was laughing. Loki and Dreygr weren't very close growing up but were still protective over eachother for the sake of brotherhood. Dreygr mother was one of the huntresses and his father the commander of the Warriors. His mother was allowed time off to take care of the boys, raising them to be gentle and kind but Dreygr's father had other ideas for Dreygr. On his first birthday his father gave him a custom made axe, his mother didn't approve but before she could remove the small thing from his hands he cut his arm with it. His mother and father were shocked when he didn't start crying from the pain, instead he just sat there and looked at the wound bleed, more curious than in pain. After that his father, Asger, took him out to watch the warriors practice their fighting... Even if Dreygr wouldn't pay attention for long, he would always want to be around the animals but as he grew he started listening to his father and watching the warriors fight. At the age of 10 he began his training to become the next Head Warrior, though many of the warriors told him that he should use a sword he continuously chose an a double sided axe as his weapon of choice, often practiced alone as he grew older.

Upon one of the days that he practiced alone he heard growling nearby, being the curious teenager that he was Dreygr investigated. What he stumbled upon was a wild dog moving towards a fallen nest. It was a day after a storm so it made sense that it had fallen, but something about it drew him to protect the fallen home of a bird from the dog. Dreygr dropped his axe and seized the dog and threw it into a nearby bush, a fight beginning. The dog managed to scar his face, chest, and stomach but that did not stop Drey. He threw the dog back into the bush and continued to do so until it ran off. Kneeling in front of the nest, the young man shifted through the material that the nest was made of, finding a small falcon and cupping it in his hands, lifting it to his chest. He took it home and cared for it, making special posts for it to land and gloves so the bird of prey could land on his hand upon occasion. Dreygr and Havardr, which he had come to name the falcon, became extremely bonded. Havardr often disappeared for months at a time and yet always returned, straight to Dreygr.

Once Drey reached adult-hood he was given the title of Head Warrior after his father retired to an Elder. Then after he was given his title he was arranged to marry the current Lead Hunter's daughter, Inekri. Dreygr wasn't too happy about it but accepted it anyway. It took a while for him to go up to Inekri, but when he finally did it she seemed happy to see him. They too began to bond together, growing closer to one another with each time they hung out together. After they got married, Dreygr and Inekri were sent out to build their home. After a few hours of building they heard heavy pawsteps from within the forest, causing panic among the newly wedded couple. Dreygr grabbed his double sided battle axe, clenching it in both hands. His gaze locked upon the direction of the pawsteps, watching as an albino dire stepped from the forest and into sight of the man and his wife. Blood trickled from a wound on it's side. Never had Drey seen a tokota- much less a dire- up close. It's icy blue gaze met his own dark green ones, something about the way it gazed at him caused him to relax his muscles and step towards the albino dire. His wife warned against it but her voice seemed to fade away the closer he came to the dire.

It led him back into the forest, the smell of blood becoming a thicker and thicker scent in the air. Once they came through the bushes and into a clearing where a black dire stood, caught in a trap meant for food. Attempting to sooth the beast before approaching, the albino instead keeping the other dire calm when Dreygr soon came to realize that the black male was blind. Quickly the man knelt down and freed the beast from the trap, watching as the pair disappeared. After a long pause Drey returned himself to his wife's side to continue building alongside her.

Days passed and they were close to finishing, sleep was needed for the pair so when night came they went to sleep. The scent of smoke filled Dreygr's nose in the middle of the night, prompting him to awaken and run to see what was happening. A look of horror found its way onto his face as flames lapped up the homes, livestock, and villagers alike. He was about to run to help the others when there was a scream from behind him. He spun around, running back to his house but upon arrival he saw blood causing his eyes to widen in horror as his wife's body laid limp on the ground before him. Suddenly he felt a surge of pain up his leg and he was tripped, looking to find a normal built tokota biting onto his leg and a cry of pain escaped his mouth. With a flash of white there was a ripping feeling in his leg but the normal built tokota was no longer grasping onto his leg and instead had dropped it into the fire. Good news it sealed the bloody wound bad news it began to burn his skin, until he felt the tug against his coat as he was dragged out of the fire. He looked behind him and the albino dire from days ago had hauled him from the flames. The black dire friend of his was nearby but none of the tokotas wanted to mess with him, his large fangs exposed as he bared his teeth to the scent of fire.

After letting his leg rest for a moment he got up and rushed back to where his wife was. He fell to his knees, tears rushed down his cheeks but he took the necklace that she wore, grabbed his axe and her then headed off into the forest. Dreygr limped along but the albino dire from before came out in his path and the black dire behind him, both closing in on him but the black male lowered his body so that Drey could climb onto his back and did. The dires escorted him as he guided them to the nearby river which he buried his wife at, staying the river for the rest of the night. When he woke, to his surprise the dire tokotas were still at his side so he took that as they had become companions of his. With that Dreygr got on the back of the black dire's back and the group disappeared into the forest.

Tokotas:

Tokotas Owned: Fenrisulfr {A.K.A. Fenris} (Not here yet) and Skoll 27625

Non-Tokota Pet: He doesn't exactly own him but he has a falcon friend that will often come to him and stay with him at times that is named Havardr which means The Guardian. Fenris also has a cat companion he enjoys bringing around on hunts, mostly as reassurance due to the dire's blindness.
