Question for the pokefans:
Do you think Mega Delcatty should become Normal/Fairy or remain just as Normal type?
Third place in poll, though snuck into second earlier on today.
That is, believe it or not, a moon crescent on it's head. I picked a bad angle to draw it in.. whoops.
Just a project for fun, creating mega evolutions of pokemon that I'd like to see.
I'm basing these purely on their original designs, as opposed to whether they need stat boosts etc.

Not to critisize or anything, love the design but i THINK that Delcatty shouldn't have Pixiilate with the NOR/FAI typing due to Normal Types getting STAB anyway.

I got it!
Since Delcatty got a 20 point boost in Gen VII, Mega Delcatty should have:
HP= 70
ATTACK= 110
DEFENSE= 90
SP. ATTACK= 55
SP. DEFENSE= 80
SPEED= 95
It should gain either Pixilate or Prankster as a ability.
Other than that, here's another idea I came up with:
HP= 70
ATTACK= 125
DEFENSE= 60
SP. ATTACK= 50
SP. DEFENSE= 95
SPEED= 105
It should gain Fur Coat as an ability and the Fairy/Normal typing.
HP= 70
ATTACK=65
DEFENSE= 105

Your best artwork yet, but this looks more like a final evolution than a Mega. Delcatty needs a regular evolution more than a Mega. Because Delcatty has extremely low stats, even a Mega Evolution can't boost its power. Sableye and Mawile also had the same Base Stat Totals. Sableye sacrificed its Speed and it already had low HP but decent Attack and Defense and average Special Stats which gained a boost. Its Speed was decreased to give more points to its Defenses. Mawile had the same Speed and HP, which didn't increase when it Mega Evolve. It had good physical stats but low special stats. With the Huge Power Ability, it didn't need much Attack but gained a lot of Defenses. Even when Delcatty Mega Evolves, none of its stats would be more than 90 (unless Game Freak comes up with some shenanigans) because it is designed to be an all-around Pokemon, not something that excels at a particular stat. Since Delactty's possible evolution's BST doesn't look like it would be more than 500, Delcatty should gain a Fairy-typing as get Fur Coat as a possible Hidden Ability. Its stats should be:

I really like how it kind of gives off a "fierce" look, instead of it just being all delicate. I'm surprised they actually didn't make Skitty and Delcatty at least part fairy type to begin with.

I LOVE Delcatty
I have one in my Pokemon Y game
And she is just so adorable.
I bred her along with my other Pokemon in my Y team.
She knows Blizzard, Fake Out, Zen Headbutt, and Double Edge
I think that would be awesome for Delcatty to have a Mega Evolution along with Pikachu and Flygon

I thought they would have too, they were definitely the right sort of pokemon for it. Maybe they will eventually get a mega with that typing..

I did! Went from 3rd to 2nd place, so Delcatty earned it's spot.
I always thought Skitty/Delcatty would fit into the Fairy type, it's so cute and delicate looking. And I suppose that balances it out, considering the advantage over dragon it would now have!
