Description
The starship design bug bit me again. This design is what happened when a Reliant/Miranda class cruiser had a baby with an NX-01 Enterprise class ship. The partial stats are based guestimations and my memory of the FASA Star Trek Tactical Combat simulator game.

The Decatur class frigate is designed for rapid response to military crisis and patrolling border areas. Optimized for speed and maneuverability at both warp and impulse speeds and sporting firepower equivalent of ships that are much larger, the Decatur class has been called a 'commando frigate' because of its ability to strike with stunning rapidity and retire from battle before the enemy can mount an effective counterstrike.
