cool. i like this deisgn. its not very star treky (thank god... you all need to move on already). the Large engines to smaller and smaller front is a wise design descision (for reasons i wont get into now). and its a solid deisgn, looks well armored.

I was definitely not going for the Trek look with Intrepid and Nagumo. I history buff (I'll finish my degree someday)and had more the Pacific theater of war during World War Two in mind when I did those.

A buddy of mine tried to go 3-d with Intrepid and got frustrated. Something about "too many polys!"

its all about how you cut up your work. or if you even bother to make sure everything attaches. theres something called "floaters" in the world of modeling, basically the item stays centered to the parent object, but isnt actually attached. game designers use it all the time to get around adding a few dozen polies.

This is very tidy- almost blueprint-tidy. I love how detailed it is with all of the lines. You can feel the shape of it clearly!

Proffessionally designing ship, as in naval architect? No the math would kill me. The ships in my gallery are all illustrations from a novel I'm writing.
