My Fancypants cosplay from Big Apple Ponycon this past weekend (March 23-24). This is only the second time I've every cosplayed in my life (the first was Tsucasa from .hack//SIGN over a decade ago). When I picked up my pre-reg ticket early in the morning, in my coffee deprived inattentiveness I signed up for the cosplay contest (which I didn't even know was a thing) but I ended up placing 2nd in my division and 3rd best overall. I was humbled and blown away considering how awesome some of the other cosplayers were and that all this was is a well planned out suit with some patches on the pockets. I tried dying my hair but botched that (wigs are for the undedicated, especially since mine is of the perfect length anyways) but I'm still exceptionally happy with the results. Other than they hair color, my only true regret is that I am incapable of not making stupid faced when in front of a camera. Like seriously. My facebook is proof of that.

But yeah, this is me with one of the lovely Rarities in attendance. Truth be told, she was my favorite. Her costume had a simplicity and elegance that fit the style that Rarity was going for at the time. It also doesnt hurt that she's taking her fasion cues from the same episode that I was.
