This saddens me. Monster Rancher's concept was so unique and still is amazing to think about: generating monsters with varying stats based on cds you put in. It even shocks people I introduce to the series to this day. I gladly go back and play MR2. My favorite thing to do is unlock cds that I feel like no one has. For example some old freebie cd a car rental place gave out for whatever reason. As to the guy's other problem, this is a perk of me wanting cds over just downloads. I like to get the cd and then put it on my itunes and then ipod.

Very sad, Monster Rancher was really good too. Ganky did the one thing neither Ash nor Tai did.Β ....HE ACTUALLY FOUGHT ALONG SIDE WITH THE MONSTERS!

I knew there was a reason I didn't play monster rancher any more...
I think once they realized everyone was using MP3s and CDs were dying they released a game like Monster Hunter EVO and everyone was like "WTF". I have a feeling that game was their attempt to move the series in a new direction and no one bought in to it. :\
I just remember one of my favorite CDs back when that game came out wouldn't let me get the monster because it was something "really rare". It wasn't till I used a game shark that I realized it was some mega powered dragon. I believe it was Apocolis.

I love Monster Rancher! Although I've only played the Monster Rancher Card Game spinoff episode one and the 3rd game in the series which I had rebought to play a few months ago off of Amazon. Before that I would watch Let's Plays and play the mobile app they made for it called My Monster Rancher and was sad when the app was shut down last January although it was abandoned a long time before and was slightly buggy I didn't mind. Β When I get the chance too I want to go buy Monster Rancher 1 and work up from there. Hopefully there will be Β a Monster Rancher 5 one day.

sigh, such a sad tale for the ranchersβ¦β¦.if they were to make a new monster rancher game should have something like a data app, thing(depending what kind of app/data file your device has can generate a different monster in the game) can be other game data as well to ensure a large library of data to choose from
then again that sounds to close to generating a digmonβ¦β¦β¦β¦β¦..

I loved Monster Rancher as a child, tried watching/playing it now...and I'm like......ew......
It was cool when we were young but just ain't timeless xD Though Poke and Digi's time is up or should be xD
