Description

Another exercise for my editorial illustration portfolio. This one was a piece I created after reading about how a man made reservoir in Thailand brought about the extinction of a majority of species who lived in that area within ten years. There were a few articles on it but this was the one I first saw,Β over at the NY Times.

That's really terribly sad, but the piece is fantastic!

Very interesting stylization and composition. I also love the fact that I can't really tell what kind of media you used - the painting style looks so personal

This is so sad. I mean great art, of course, it has a wonderful illustration-y feel, but the topic is so sad. It's very important to get the story out, and I'm glad to see you've done it so beautifully.

This is awesome. It makes me remind my childhood... but I cannot precise why! I love your style!
