Good, green earthDamaged, killed
The flowers bled,
Are bleeding still
No magic left
No anything
The world grows dark
I raped the Spring
(And even though it's silent now,
I still hear her screams)
Petals scattered
Across dirt and dust
Time betrayed
By wreckless lust
No one feels
The pain she felt
And through her pain
The wind blows still
(And even though it's final now,
I will not believe it)
In death and mud
No life will grow
The sun will hide
Darkness bestow
And rain will fall now
Where it should
Cuz nothing stands
Where she once stood
(And even though she was so strong,
The mighty Spring has fallen)
Good, green earth
Damaged, Killed
The flowers bled,
Are bleeding still
And green grass grows
Inside her skin
Now that she's gone
I let her in
(And even though she's dead now,
I wish that I had loved her)

It is one of the only poems that I ever rhymed in the past year of my writing...I pretty much gave up on rhyming my stuff when it took away the freedom I had for my words
