...as in Guy - Guy Pearce
partially inspired by Memento, mostly inspired by a desire to "learn" pastels and skin colouring.At first, I was really dubious about trying pastels for some reason... but pastels really are very very fun to use
even if they do make my teeth itch when they scratch across the paper... EECHAnyway, this is the most fun I've had while drawing in quite a while (or probably just since my last piece..), so I hope you like it too
critique would be very useful, seeing as I'm trying to practise and improve.Media:
Black soft/hard charcoal pencils
Soft pastel sticks
Cotton buds/pads
MY FINGER
(screw the "rules"!)A3 Cartridge paper which balls badly
About 4-5 hours on a lazy Sunday

haha yeah the black and white bits are forwards, and the coloured bits are backwards... actually thats quite a cool idea for a drawing, wish i'd thought of that earlier!

thankyou very much! i really enjoyed mixing them, actually.... you know the unwritten rule of graphite work that you're not allowed to blend with your fingers ('cos the oils make blending uneven or something)? it was so nice to just be like "whatever, i'll blend however i want!"
