Description NOTE: This project has been abandoned, so no more updates

Same thing as my RAM CPU Taskbar , but for temperature! CURRENTLY INCOMPATIBLE WITH IT! I'll probably compile them into one tool later though.

Enjoy, comment, , and !

If you don't want to spend, then just click one (or all!) of the links below, wait 5 seconds and click skip ad. It doesn't take long!

Simple temperature monitor for the Windows 7 taskbar. Doesn't take up any space. Same thing as my RAM CPU Taskbar , but for temperature. My friend wanted it, and I didn't plan to release it, but I didn't really care, and so here it is.

Version Info:
v1.1 - Fixed Run As Administrator bug
v1.0 - Initial release

Working things:
Colour changer
All resolutions
Different heights/widths for the taskbar
Hides from aero-peek
All positioned taskbars

Not working things:
Auto-hide
Resists show desktop

Created by Wasteland Studios.
Works best with AeroPlain theme, as used in the preview.

Nooooooooo!
I wish this was still supported, this was EXACTLY what I was looking for!
Doesn't work on my Intel i7-3960x 6-core

anonymous-thing In reply to Woodknot [2013-05-22 05:21:13 +0000 UTC]

Try installing rivatuner, I think it adds something to the system which allows my program to access temperature values. My desktop (Intel Core Quad) doesn't work with this program till I run rivatuner (and I don't know why D

I'm gonna be updating this in a moment, do you mind if you can test out the new version?

I have Windows 7 x64 HP with an Intel Pentium B950. Do you have any plans to add support for this processor?

anonymous-thing In reply to TwilightsArchives [2013-01-20 17:39:37 +0000 UTC]

No, I'm not updating this project anymore (I think I don't even have the original source anymore). However, if it's giving an unsupported error, try installing Rivatuner or some other program that can monitor temperature - I've found that some other temperature programs actually install a driver or something that allows Temp Taskbar to function (for example, Temp Taskbar doesn't work on my desktop until I install Rivatuner).

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

First, there should be some text ABOVE the textbox with this error. I bet it says "Not supported".
This is because in the FIRST LINE OF THE EXCEPTION: "System.Management.ManagementException: Not supported"

Please read.

As a future feature, wouldn't it be nice if one was able to customize the temperature source (for instance, in HWMonitor, there is also GPU core temperature, ACPI Zones, HDD temperatures...) ? Just wondering.

Otherwise, very nice idea.

um... if you're talking about the actual personlization colour, my app does nothing like that. It just displays a progress bar UNDER the taskbar, and doesn't even access the taskbar. If you're just talking about the visual colour, then that's the entire point of my program.

It's resolved by running it as administrator. Maybe it should prompt the user?

Also, would it be perhaps possible to change the width of the bar? I like, nay, love the idea, but I'd like it more if it only took up the width of the clock + system tray.

Sorry for the late answer (just got back from school), but yes, it does need to be run as administrator (turns out I forgot to add that bit of info in the post)... i'll quickly release a version soon that'll prompt you. For the taskbar, i'll probably just have another slider with width later on. Thanks for the ideas!
