portrait study in which I wanted to practice the facial expression and unique features that old age bringsnoticed also that a more 'painterly' approach, rough-around-the-edges, allowed me to finish the painting faster, and I think I'm rather becoming fond of this sort of style

Geez, I don't know...a part-time marriage is not easy...we have been together since 1984...there is nothing I can do to please this woman...nuff said...I'm alone...and I have strangers that may like my art...has been nothing but sadness as my buddy up the hill always smiley..is DEAD...my 82 year old barber steve who I did the whole barbershop series for...may still be in the shop now that Steve has retired~ kind of a cripple, or else would pursue another romance~ and my MINI GPS always leads me astray causing me to explore a lot of northern california~ went completely around clearlake and onwards to ukiah, before I turned around....It's sure scary on these lonely California highways~ I'm 52 and still paint, still have the "recaptor" design which everyone needs exercise and to get across town...so this makes sense...Oil men will see to my omission...that is why I have not gone this way...my Neurologist Afshin says that I owe it to everyone with MS to get started on this right away...inventhelp did not help with the design but says "show me a prototype to bring before the board of investors" and by the way that will be 600 if you can show me a prototype...and with my plotter and my big roll of drawings (one must know how to read a mechanical blueprint) friggin' KEPT my roll of drawings~
gave away the Engineering plotter...they will not let me work anymore...so that is the scoop...have to drum up pals like you to keep myself friendly yet~Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β

even when my friends were "cool" they always took the sweet hit and I was left carrying the amplifiers~ them days are gone~ did write one "hit song" in 1985 "snack bar" which a punker buddy ruined the words on...anyways I play the Bass and wrote this song...co-opted by a group of malasian folks....perhaps chinese...do not know...anyways it is interesting and one pivot point in my decision to leave Milwaukee to comeΒ to San Francisco, bringing my love with me...things get different when we moved to downtown Oakland...tho the weather was nice the people were not in the highest order of morality...Oakland Quality Amps while running everything, my wife became the wife of the tileshop, when we moved back to Milwaukee in 2002 they NEEDED her back...SO we sold the house and bought an authentic Chesterfield 7 piece set~ it maintains our "cut above the rest" one might say~Β www.youtube.com/watch?v=nlspMNβ¦

you sure seem to have been through a lot. I can't possibly know that whatever will I say will help you at any rate, but I'll say it nevertheless. No matter what comes, if you do feel like art is a was for you to relax, enjoy some time alone, or simply escape or soothe wounds, simply keep it up! If it gives you happiness, don't give it up. Your art should never depend on other people's opinion. It's your unique vision of life, and it can be nothing but you!Β
Anyhow, maybe this sounds trivial too, but I wish you to be strong and face your fears. Art IS life. Love it, and it will love you back!
