Description

ILM Art Department Challenge 2: The Ride No.2- Rescue.

T-82 Stryker (AT-AT Buster).  Basically, I upgrade the "snow speeder" with AT-AT primary cannons since their "armour is too strong for blasters".  I then figured that the AT-AT cannons would pack a punch and decided that the T-82 required overpowered engines to maintain speed when firing their new weapons.  I find that keeping ideas simple by mixing 2 opposing concepts work pretty well.

This was my second vehicle design created for challenge 2 that would fit within the Star Wars Universe and then be Illustrated in their environment as Keyframe art.

What ideas did you use for the T-82?

Interesting air vehicle. Is there any real 3D model in any place?

Thanks.  Yeah, I designed and modelled the T-82 Stryker in Modo and then painted over in photoshop.  The figures in the foreground are 3d and then painted over.

Is there any chance from get a 3ds file from it for the addition in my Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption mod www.moddb.com/mods/foc-allianc… ? I imagine how it is perhaps very high poly and I should create a clone with less poligons but it is not anything new. Of course, all the credit would be for you.

This looks great! The concept of an AT-AT Buster really does fit with the Rebellion.

Love the designation and code name for it. Design is close to the T-47. Interesting design but could need a bit more sloped armor design or turbines.

Thanks  Meant to add the background story, but yeah, design similar to T-47 was on purpose, but supposed to be more compact, over powered, heavy based to tackle Imperial Walkers.  Both cannons are supposed to be reversed engineered from AT-AT weaponry.
