We just took the road along Lake Lugano clockwise until we arrived at the base of a hill. From there, we drove up a winding road to the top where a cafe runs during the summertime -- the cafe was closed, though. It was winter.

this is amazing! i'm going to have to fav this picture. it's so well balanced and composed, the mountains and the dark line of water in the background and the flowers in the foreground seem to be in perfect harmony with each other, both in terms of color and position. i love that the reflection in the ornament shows everything behind the photograph, so that it's almost like two in one. we're blessed with a beautiful picture worthy view and also another insanely interesting distorted view of a real life behind the camera.

i didn't take that thing with me. it was christmas time and the tree happened to be there. it isn't exactly the middle of nowhere, either, if you notice the city in the reflection.

What a highly unusual piece!
I really love the clarity of the foreground. The branch, the bauble and the plants. So sharp against the soft background, which is stange as the background is full of such harsh whites and cold blues that one would suspect it to be the one that is to be crisp.
