well...w/ the second version...it shows there's actually something to be lost...like the strawberry is half bright and half not...it shows progess of loosing itself...the first one...the straw is completely in the dark...i can barely make it out...and there's a drip of water from the strawberry...it tells even more dramatic story than the first one...sure the first one has this dark feel to it...but not much of a story and translate your idea better i don't think...the way the knife moves away from the camera that threw me off...w/ the second one it moves toward me...and directly 'stabs' me ...:

Mmm the first definitely. This version is cluttered with too many unnecessary objects. It doesn'tlook as clean.
