great picture, it looks really smooth considering that you took it hand held, the composition is very good and i like how all the blurry and a bit overexposed background makes the model stand out and not the other way.

thank you. I appreciate comments with substance (as opposed to "nice"). I'll soon have the new Nikon VR lens (18-200), so pictures such as this will rarely come out with that slight blur. Who knows though -- occasionally a 'mess-up' turns out beautiful.

The fact that you did this handhelp is impressive. The one thing that really sticks out is the pose. To me it looks very unnatural and uncomfortable.
Questions:
Is that LA?
What speed film/dig iso was that? Do you remember the aperture?

I really like the effect of blurred backgroud and the face of this girl. The only reluctance is... the nails-paints... I hate this...

Thought a bit blurry (no tripod... I do understand !), very cinematographic. And therefore I do like it very much.

very compelling. She's beautiful looks very young - so it comes across as rather dark and scandalous that she's out alone, waiting at a corner.
only thing I don't like is the text on the news box at left - rather distractingly clear in a world of whir and blur.

you could always edit it out if you really wanted, and go in for digital editing, or darkroom dodge/burn....

1) it was dark. the exposure was slow and to get a really clean shot one would use a tripod, but I got lucky and it came out handheld.
2) your simple camera might not be able to do it. if you can find a manual mode or a way to adjust aperture and shutter speed..
what camera do you have?

haahhahahhahahaaahhhaahahah .
well, no , my camera can not do it. I don't even remember what it is..
1) maybe I expressed in the wrong way. I mean. The picture doesn't look dark... I know it was dark all around. But I can see the girl in it quite well..
well, thank u a lot anyway and compliments for all ur models and u are good looking to in the pic of the wall.

oh. i exposed it for the girl, and the background, being lighter than the girl, came out slightly overexposed.
thanks on compliments =]

This shot is great. The background is quite amusing in it's slightly overexposed nature. Good work!

I actually shot this one handheld, just messing around one night with a friend. probably around a 1/2 or 1/4 second exposure and it came out rather smooth.
thanks.
