Description
New piece in the theme of Hollowen. The timelapse for it can be found here .Fliz waited patiently in the main chamber for her siblings to finish getting ready. After helping them deside what they wanted to dress as, she knew it wouldn't be very long. A short time later, Drex came out of the cavern where their parents treasure was stored. Her brother was wearing a black sport coat with a shiny old top hat perched between his horns. "Hey, nice outfit Drex!" Fliz shouted over to him from the other side of the cave. Her brother spun around and trotted over to her. He started to walk slower as he got closer to her, seemingly trying to strut. Drex raised his wings under the coat slightly and gave his sister a quick bow in greeting. "Why, good evening to you." The blue dragon blinked a couple times in surprise, but shrugged it off. "Hello Drex." Drex suddenly reared back and raised his eye ridges, amused. "I beg your pardon miss, but I'm afraid you must have me confused with somebody else." he stated elegantly. Apart from the costume, his voice had changed also. He seemed to be trying to sound more sophisticated. "You're not fooling me. You're cleaver but I still know it's you." The red dragon fought to keep from laughing and giving himself away. "I'm charmed, to say the least, that you think I'm this Drex fellow. You are, however, quite mistaken my dear." Fliz huffed and drew her head back with a smirk. "Alright then Not-Drex, have you seen Vliti anywhere?" Her brother was about to answer when they were both distracted by something. Back in the cave, they saw Vliticus emerge from the treasure chamber with his own costume on. The yellow dragon had a wrinkled old Stetson crammed between his horns and his favorite blue bandana tied around his neck. A leather vest was tied across his chest with a weathered belt, and a white shirt could be seen underneath. "You folks talken 'bout me?" he asked. "What's up Vli-I mean, good evening sir." Drex jutted his chin out at Vliticus, but quickly bowed like he had with Fliz. Vliticus gave his brother a quick glance and nodded. "Howdy." "You look really good Vliti. I truly didn't think our parents had that many clothes in their treasure." Fliz said in awe. Honestly, both of her brothers had done good about dressing up. Smiling, Vliticus looked between his siblings and took notice of their costumes as well. "I figure y'all look rather dandy yerselves." The yellow dragon took a seat in front of the other two "Well that's quite nice. I'd doff my hat to you, but I'm afraid I cannot reach it." Drex proclaimed with a dignified tone. "I'd be obligen ta help ya with that." Vliticus chuckled. A quick little burst of air sent the hat on Drex's head flying. The red dragon scrambled to chase after it as his siblings laughed. "Ha-ha. How about that for an aim?" Vliticus quipped as he shuffled his wings under the shirt. Drex left one of his paws on the hat while he looked up from retrieving it. "Looks like I'll have to tape this thing to my head. Our parents are certainly not gonna like us loosing any of this stuff." He leaned down and grasped the brim of it in his mouth. "I don shink I've seen ya shoo anyshin like tha. You've been practicing a lot." The yellow dragon slipped back into his old-west accent in a heartbeat. "Like shooten a coffee can off a fence post." "Good sir. Did you just call me a fence post?" Drex pulled his ears back as he played like he was offended. His brother simply grinned mischievously. "Ya-I'did." The red dragon quickly bowed to put his hat back on, and then slunk up to the yellow dragon in mock aggression. They pressed their noses together and traded harmless insults with each other. Vliticus eventually growled and slapped Drex gently on the side, which caused the argument to degrade into a playful boxing match. Having now been officially forgotten about, Fliz watched her brothers tussling with each other and shook her head. "You two are ridiculous."
