It's a metaphor for free speech, spoken word. A lot of Hardcore bands have lyrics that say the same thing. Even Johnny Cash has a line in a song "I shot a Man in Reno, just to watch Him Die." The idea came from a friend of mine who has lyrics in a song that say, "Our Fists are swords, Our mouths are guns!" Thank you for the comment!
