Description Full view. Dear god, full view or I'm going to go hang myself.

This would probably be my most ambitious painting to date - I've never really painted any group shots of my characters, so perhaps painting all of the characters from Red Moon Rising together wasn't the smartest idea I've ever followed up. This took forever(well, two weeks) to finish, but I think it turned out pretty well.

Anyway. Yes. Red Moon Rising - in a nutshell, it's the sequel to Eclipse(a very distant sequel, though - at least a few hundred years later, say). Originally I would have claimed that Eclipse was the prequel to Red Moon Rising, but...well, Eclipse is the dominant story now, it seems. XD Working on another big project while Eclipse is still barely started probably doesn't make much sense, but having both of them to bat ideas between works for me.

Most of these characters have shown up in my gallery already: in the upper left is Renshou , below her is Airin, to his lower right is Lethe , to Lethe's upper right is Rayne , to Rayne's lower right is Caedere , in front of Caedere is Adrianna and hiding above her is Galak .

A couple of minor characters didn't make the cut, namely Sylph, Ezius and Sai, either because they have such a minor role it wasn't worth the compositional headache of another character(Ezius) or that I haven't actually figured out what they're doing in the story yet(Sai and Sylph)...

I'll be putting up a progress-tutorial-thingummy of this pretty soon, mainly because I have about 200 photoshop files of it at all stages of development because I was utterly paranoid that if I saved it as a single file all the way through, it would become corrupted and I would end up tossing myself out of the window as a result. The folder containing them is taking up nearly 5gb of space...oh well. XD *will clear it out later*

Mouse painted from scratch in Photoshop CS. My hand is about to fall off.

This is a stunning accomplishment. The sharp highlights and lusty painterly strokes really help lend the image a lot of feeling. This was a pleasure to view. Thank you for sharing it!

Thanks! I was a bit iffy about the composition, usually that kind of thing doesn't come very easily to me - the canvas size on this kept changing, people kept getting shuffled around...I was worried it was a bit of a hodge-podge in the end. I'm glad you don't seem to think so, though.

!!! This looks amazing!!! I can see why it took so long, but the time really shows in the picture!! Very cool composition, and the coloring, as usual, is superb ^_^ And Adrianna's hair is wondeful!! I have no idea how you color these things so well... *is terribly jealous of your talent*

Awesome job!!

^^ Thanks! I like painting Adrianna's hair, red hair is always so fun. XD

Of course, now I eventually have to do one of those for Eclipse. >.>; Eh heh... Oh well. Also, I just put up the tutorial-progress-doo-dad for this up, hopefully it's not so demented that you can't make any sense of it. XD:
