The poet
And the words
A remarkable team
They say they need each other
Just like I need you

But like every other word one means more than the other
And like every other man I must be better than the other
And even though a poet can be without words
This poet is still trying to find his
And even though the broken look in his eyes says a thousand words
Her eyes say a million more
And like a poet looking for his or her words
I must look for mine
And I am hoping at the end of this destined and broken rose
Lies a poem as long as eternity with the last two words being
You and me
