Description
Based on the story "Snow Powder Runs" that I wrote at age 12, it was my last handwritten novel before I discovered the world of computers. The story is about a lone wolf who is the only predator occupant of Snow Powder Mountain, a lone mountain separate from any mountain range, which the wolf was named after by mankind. The main plot of the story is that a mining company discovers gold located buried in the peak of this mountain, and they build a chairlift to haul the treasures down the mountain. It is based in the old days during the mining age. Snow Powder becomes a huge hassle to deal with, as she seeks to slaughter man, seeing them as a threat. She goes down in the news as the "Most Dangerous Wolf Known to Mankind as it is rare for wolves to be this aggressive towards humans. After killing multiple mining workers, the mining operation set out to trap and kill her, but Snow Powder is cunning and outwits the humans time and time again. Being alone for most of her life, she has been taught to trust nothing and no one and to always take extra caution. Very little is known about her upbringing or where she originated from, making her somewhat of a mystery to the news sites on the radio. Over time, the mining operation is cut as the ore runs out, and now a tourist attraction, the Mountain is turned into a ski resort instead. The wolf attracts much attention and finally, animal activists create a national park close by for the animal, as well as introduces other wolves for Snow Powder to live with. Fenced off from the ski resort, she poses as no more threat to the people that work there. As the years progress, the mountain becomes one of the most popular tourist destinations in the region because of its mining history as well as the wolf.Nowadays, Snow Powder is mostly used to represent me, so she is more so of a face now than a real wolf with a personality. The flowers were added too, as they were the flowers of my wedding: Hostas, hepatica nobilis, forget-me-nots, wineberries, and lava oxalis, with a celtic knot woven with twine.
Her colours are not "cannon." The colours are pretty loose, but are always some form of periwinkle blue, though there are many varieties. Her eyes are silvery yellow but they can appear a very icy or powder blue in the shadows.
