The "try" layer is a layer I merge down (on the main layer) if I think the thing I change worth it

Hey, I use a "try" layer, too. Mainly because there is no history feature in painter and it remembers only 30 strokes... What can one do with 30 strokes while painting? So a "try" layer is often a must. My problem is I save way too many ideas and move back, later it's sometimes hard to judge which is the best one

I don't remember how but you can increase the hystory strokes ( arrond 60) but i've forgotten -_-
But with " try " layer I don't mind. As you, I have many ideas to test then moving back ^^

Iam confused on what order to read the index of the brushes...is it from bottom to up screenshot of brush type or the other way around? And there seem to be more than 5 brushes for there to be "brush A" to "E"?
Can you clear this up for me?
